εκπαιδευτικός, ενώ υπήρξε αθλητής του στίβου. Σπούδασε στο Κρατικό Ινστιτούτο Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού Λένιν της Μόσχας και αποφοίτησε με master Παιδαγωγικής και ειδικότητα προπονητή κλασσικού αθλητισμού (1983-1988). Συνέχισε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στη Μόσχα και ανακηρύχθηκε Διδάκτορας Παιδαγωγικών Επιστημών Ph.D. με ειδικότητα «Αθλητική Κοινωνιολογία».
Εργάσθηκε για περισσότερα από δώδεκα χρόνια ως αναπληρωτής εκπαιδευτικός σε μονάδες της Δευτεροβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης στη Δυτική Αθήνα, πολλά από αυτά, στο Αθλητικό Γυμνάσιο Περιστερίου με ειδικότητα προπονητή Στίβου (1992-2004). Διετέλεσε Γενικός Γραμματέας του Συνδέσμου Ελλήνων Προπονητών Κλασσικού Αθλητισμού και επί δεκατέσσερα χρόνια ενεργός προπονητής ομάδας στίβου στο Περιστέρι.
Είναι μέλος του Συνασπισμού της Αριστεράς από το 1990, υπεύθυνος του Αθλητικού Τμήματός του και κατόπιν συντονιστής του Τμήματος Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ. Έπαιξε ενεργό ρόλο στην επεξεργασία του κυβερνητικού προγράμματος του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ για τον αθλητισμό.
Στα χρόνια του μνημονίου και της ανθρωπιστικής κρίσης συμμετείχε ενεργά στην ίδρυση του Ιατρείου Κοινωνικής Αλληλεγγύης Περιστερίου και στα κινήματα Αλληλεγγύης.

εκπαιδευτικός, ενώ υπήρξε αθλητής του στίβου. Σπούδασε στο Κρατικό Ινστιτούτο Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού Λένιν της Μόσχας και αποφοίτησε με master Παιδαγωγικής και ειδικότητα προπονητή κλασσικού αθλητισμού (1983-1988). Συνέχισε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στη Μόσχα και ανακηρύχθηκε Διδάκτορας Παιδαγωγικών Επιστημών Ph.D. με ειδικότητα «Αθλητική Κοινωνιολογία».
Εργάσθηκε για περισσότερα από δώδεκα χρόνια ως αναπληρωτής εκπαιδευτικός σε μονάδες της Δευτεροβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης στη Δυτική Αθήνα, πολλά από αυτά, στο Αθλητικό Γυμνάσιο Περιστερίου με ειδικότητα προπονητή Στίβου (1992-2004). Διετέλεσε Γενικός Γραμματέας του Συνδέσμου Ελλήνων Προπονητών Κλασσικού Αθλητισμού και επί δεκατέσσερα χρόνια ενεργός προπονητής ομάδας στίβου στο Περιστέρι.
Είναι μέλος του Συνασπισμού της Αριστεράς από το 1990, υπεύθυνος του Αθλητικού Τμήματός του και κατόπιν συντονιστής του Τμήματος Φυσικής Αγωγής και Αθλητισμού του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ. Έπαιξε ενεργό ρόλο στην επεξεργασία του κυβερνητικού προγράμματος του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ για τον αθλητισμό.
Στα χρόνια του μνημονίου και της ανθρωπιστικής κρίσης συμμετείχε ενεργά στην ίδρυση του Ιατρείου Κοινωνικής Αλληλεγγύης Περιστερίου και στα κινήματα Αλληλεγγύης.
