Αυτό περιλαμβάνει σε πρώτη φάση την απόκτηση έξι ποδοσφαιριστών, πέραν του Νίκου Καλτσά που έχει ήδη ανακοινωθεί. Σε συμφωνία με τη διοίκηση έχει αποφασιστεί να διατεθούν ποσά που θα αγγίζουν ή θα ξεπερνούν το μισό εκατομμύριο ευρώ για τρεις παίκτες. Οι «πράσινοι» εφόσον διατηρήσουν στο δυναμικό τους τον Σίλντενφελντ θα κινηθούν για έναν αριστεροπόδαρο στόπερ, έναν δεξιό μπακ, έναν αμυντικό μέσο, έναν αριστερό εσωτερικό μέσο, έναν (πιθανότατα αριστερό) εξτρέμ κι έναν επιθετικό.
Επιθυμία των ανθρώπων του Παναθηναϊκού είναι να ανανεωθεί η συνεργασία με τον «Σίφο» (μικρή η διαφορά που χωρίζει τις δύο πλευρές για κλειστό τριετές συμβόλαιο) και τον Πέτριτς (ίσως και σήμερα να απαντήσει θετικά για μονοετές συμβόλαιο), αλλά παράλληλα να παραμείνει στην ομάδα ο Χάρης Μαυρίας. Παράλληλα σε πολύ καλό δρόμο είναι οι διαπραγματεύσεις με τον Διαμαντή Χουχούμη για την επέκταση του συμβολαίου του μέχρι το 2018.
